I'm looking for a laptop that has a good docking station that will hook up to two 1080p external monitors. Other than everyday tasks, I want it to be able to play 1080p movies and play sc2 (not demanding I don't think). I use the dual monitors for having a very large number of windows open for one of my hobbies, but I don't think that's processor or video intensive either.

Looking for good battery life when not docked, like 5+ hours, and a 14-15 inch screen.

I'm kind of fond of thinkpads. I was thinking I'd get one of these docking stations: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-61297. I'm not sure what specs I need to get to do what I want though. I've been using a desktop so I haven't had to worry about performance for my relatively modest usage. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I had the most insane, unreal chat with one of the Dell chat people trying to get a specific answer to that exact question.

The chat lasted over 2 hours - mostly because they chat with a ton of people at once and take 1-3 minutes to reply every time you say anything.

The settles on a mid range laptop, then asked me what size monitor I wanted to connect (not the resolution or the connector - just the size). I told her it was a 27" (it's a 27" LG 1920x1080) and she instantly insisted I needed a workstation class laptop to drive a monitor "that large".

I should have given up earlier, but I decided to grit it out and get an answer. I saved the chat session because it was so insane.
