laptop wirelessly to dvi monitor

ok, I'm not sure if this is possible.

the situation is, I have my laptop plugged into my monitor. the laptop has an HDMI output, the monitor (viewsonic vx912) has VGA & DVI inputs - so DVI input. I often move the laptop about, so unplug the HDMI from the laptop. I'm weary about constantly dis/re connecting the HDMI socket, sometimes daily. eventually it might wear the laptop HDMI pcb connector out

I've tried an HDMI adapter, so that the 4cm adapter will stay plugged into the laptop, and when the adapter wears out, I'll have to buy another £2 adapter, but with wiggling the adapter around and the cable end of the adapter being quite tight, that hasn't really worked.

basically I'm looking to connect the laptop and DVI monitor wirelessly. I've seen some wireless HDMI inputs on ebay that connect to the monitor, and apparently these connect via WiFi to the laptop?

I have a WiFi USB adaptor, so the laptop could have both internet WiFi, and "monitor" WiFi at the same time

HDMI-to-DVI adapters are £3 or so.

So.....

if it worked.....

Laptop second WiFi adapter --> (wireless) --> HDMI WiFi receiver --> HDMI-to-DVI adapter --> monitor

......would this work..?

or do I bite a bullet and buy a new HDMI monitor that I've been half considering for the past couple of months

total price of the HDMI adapters is less than £15, so I could just try and see.. -thanks in advance
