Laptop will not read burned DVD's

Hi!

My laptop will not read my burned DVD's. Neither will the DVD player, although the X-Box will just fine. I used TDK DVD+RW. Where am I going wrong? Is it the media, or the drive? Is there a better option for media?

Thanks!

Make sure to set the DVD+RW to "Book type DVD-ROM" in the burner settings (you can do this even after you have burned the disc). This makes it compatible with virtually everything.

If you are using an older version of Nero and/or Roxio, then they may not have bitsetting capabilities.

What brand is your DVD burner? Most manufacturer have stand-alone programs that can be used to for bitsetting regardless of the burning program being (my Lite-on 8x DVD is that way).
