Yesterday I was using my laptop (Toshiba A105-S2712, about 5 years old) and the power completely cut off. Since then the laptop has shown no activity, I cant even boot to BIOS. Additionally none of the LED light (power, ac adapter connected, battery charging, ect) turn on. I have removed the battery and tried with just the A/C adapter to no avail. I have tested the A/C adapter on another Toshiba and it functions correctly. I took apart the computer and using a multimeter checked the voltage where the A/C adapter plug connects to the motherboard and received the correct voltage (19 volts). After completely dissembling the laptop I noticed when the A/C adapter is connected there is a faint clicking noise. This is strange because the hard drive, CD drive, and all of the fans are disconnected. The RAM, wireless card and modem are also disconnected. Has anyone ever had this sort of problem or anything similar?
