Hello all this is my first post here and I am in dire need of some of your expert help. My rig (I guesse you can call it that lol) is as follows:
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600).
Manufacturer/Model: Dell Inspiron 8600.
Bios: Pheonix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A14.
Processor: Intel Pentium M 1.6 GHZ.
Memory: 512mb RAM.
Page File Direct X 9.0c.
Vid card Nvidea Geforce FX Go 5200.
Now I know your all laughin at me cuz I havent kept up on upgrading and I dont have all the uber cool stuff lol. But the real issue here is that I am in dire need of a new vid card (then a new proccessor after that bla bla). And I really want to play Oblivion Elder scrolls even if its at a medium capacity (remember this is a laptop after all). Now I was thinking on a Nvidea Geforce Go 7800 or something along the lines of a ATI X1800 GTO. Now I bet the ATI card wont fit, and Im not to sure even about the 7800.
Bottom line is that I dont have a tun of money (that goes for gas in the boat as of late
) maybe around three hundred bucks, and I want to play it efficiently. Now hopefully you can answer my question as if there is a website to site the compatibility issues with my said rig with such said vid card. Any ideas/solutions would be greatly appreciated. I can play EVE Online and Guild Wars factions efficiently with my current setup so hopefully some of you can help me with Obliv.
My Current vid card handles it so poorly that I cant bring myself to play it under those conditions.
Tks all
