Laptop Video Memory Upgrade from HELL!!!!

Okay, I bought a 32MB video memory upgrade for my laptop. The memory is right where the SODIMMS for system memory are so the upgrade was to be easy. I pulled out a 16MB chip and put a 32 one in. Now when I move windows in XP, there are tiny dots that appear along the border.

I put the old one back in and they were gone. Bad chip right? Apparently not! I got a replacement and the same thing happenned. So I went to simmtester.com and downloaded their memory test to see if it checked video memory, it doesn't but I got a main memory error, so I pulled out the memory left one in, tested it. Error! Put the other one in, tested it, ERROR!

I had one SODIMM from before to check (kept in antistatic bag for safety) and ERROR!

What the hell is wrong with my system!!!! I don't want bad video or main memory in it! PLEASE HELP!
