Laptop video card upgrade???

I have a Sony Vaio FXA series laptop that has an ATI mobility video card on it that's only cranking a whopping 8mb. I'm not highly technical and need some advice as to how I can upgrade. Is there any way to upgrade my video card? Is there such a thing as an external video card that can hook up to my USB? Any help will be much appreciated.

as far as I know..there is no way to upgrade a laptop's integrated graphic card.

Isn't there some kind of a video card upgrade in the form of a PCMCIA? If there is...can anyone suggest a product at a reasonable price?

No PCMICA video cards. Search all you want, all you will find are TV-Out cards (some of which simply hi-jack the DSUB connection). Sell it and use the money towards an upgraded model.
