I have a Dell Latitude L400 laptop with an Intel 440BX motherboard. The video card is integrate and is only 4mb. I would like to upgrade the video but I've heard I need a new motherboard for this. Where can I find out if I can put another motherboard in the laptop that will fit and that is better?

its 98% IMPOSSIBLE TO UPGRADE THE MEMORY OF VIDEO IN A LAPTOP. A new motherboard runs at about $400+ it is not worth it.

The too obvious would be selling the present one and collecting cans and bottles to recycle and then use the money to by a new lappy that is on sale. J/K!

I feel your pain hope you can get another notebook book soon. Good luck.

Err, get a cheap sale Celeron D desktop for ~$100 (requires finding a sweet sale) and toss in a Ti4200 for $30. That's over $100 but you'll have a dirt cheap computer capable of minimal gaming.
