Laptop TV out solution needed

I have a laptop with a s-video out to TV. However, the TV I only
have scart and A/V input. Is there some kinda converter that
I can buy?

Any hint appreciated.

yes, actually.. maybe..

my dell comes with a svideo type out to a/v but im not sure if thats splitting the video and sound out or making it component out.. ill check when i get home.. i think i have a few, if its what you need, ill give it to you.. if not, sorry.

you can get a s-video-to-rca converter from radioshack.

You can also buy the S-video to RCA adapters pretty cheaply. For example, here's two at newegg depending on whether you need male or female connections:

Newegg Male RCA Connection

Newegg Female RCA Connection

That coupled with a headphone to two channel RCA splitter gives you everything you need to hook up your laptop to your TV.
