Laptop System Time

I have a co-worker with a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop. He claims from time to time the system time/date will be incorrect. I haven't yet verified if this is due to a suspend/hibernation, but I haven't ruled that possibility out. I doubt the CMOS battery is dying because after a restart, WinXP updates the system with the correct time. I've searched google groups and a similar post resulted in this: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=incorrect+system+time&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=%23Vef%23O5Q9GA.203%40uppssnewspub04.moswest.msn.net&rnum=2

Unfortunately, a quick browse through the laptop's bios shows no setting that I can use for the clock ratio. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
