Does anybody know of any keyboards for regular PC's (ie ps2) that are similar to laptop style keyboards? In the sense that they are really short throw and almost slient as far as keystrokes go?

<< GQ MiniKey Keyboard

I prefer laptop style keyboards also and the GQ is IMHO the best. ( after trying 10 or so different types which now collect dust)
>>

Is it a full size keyboard though? (key spacing)

Is there one with a num pad?

I don't know what the old imac usb keyboard looks like, I thought it was just that clear and black one?

no, they were smaller and have a shallow keystroke, similar to laptops.

Hmm I wonder if there is a fullsized one (kinda like my ipaq fold out keyboard, or the palm one), complete with num pad.

I just want to be able to type without making more noise than the laptop ones, sometimes at 2am I want to let my room mate sleep if I am typing something.

The size of the keys isnt too bad compared to a full size keyboard, it just lacks a num pad.
You could buy a seperate num pad to use with it...
I have yet to find a full size keyboard that compares to the GQ MiniKey keyboard regarding 'laptop' feel.

Cool, I might give it a spin if there isn't anything else out there. I like that soft feel of the keys that they have, it rocks.

<< Quiet with number pad. >>

:) - I tried one of those a couple of weeks ago (it would solve the spilt coffee problem), and yep they are indeed quiet...
Actually its a cool idea, IMO they just need to work on how the keys depress... they tend to go off to the side instead of straight down.

LoL, thanks Yakko! I've seen these 'floppy' keyboards (not to be confused with floppy bags of homo milk), but they don't have that hard plastic feel either. Doh.
