I just got my first laptop and it seems like when the hard drive is stressed or the dvd is in use it makes a crackling noise in the backgroung.kind of annoying in quiet movies etc.If i play a music cd,I hear it when it spins up,but not really beyond that.Dvds and games seem to cause it the most.Is this a normal problem having the sound card transmit noise because of the close proximity to the drives or is something likely to need work?
Thanks for any input

I don't have a laptop.. but the problem is understandable, like seeing what a hair drier does when it runs on the same ciruit as a TV..

I'd RMA it though, this is a preventable problem.
