The machine is 12.2 inches(31cm) wide, 10 inches(25.4cm) deep, and 1 inch(2.54cm) high. Has anybody had a particularly good experience with a sleeve that either fits such a machine, or comes from a line that does? Obviously, I can easily enough dredge up plenty of sleeves that fit; but it is rather hard to judge feel and quality from scrunchy little .jpgs.

Thanks.

Check out Booq bags for their sleeves, top notch quality. Shinza is also popular. It all depends on how much you want to spend

I just got this slipcase made for my new H-P dv1000 notebook.

ThePouch

I had it custom made to fit around the 12-cell Li-Ion battery. It was $39. IThe color was extra - black is a few bucks cheaper. It is well made, neoprene, the stuff diver's wet suits are made of.

I put the lappie in this, and then this slides into my vertical briefcase.

The case was made by The Pouch, right here in Tucson. They will make them any way you want - complete with shoulder strap.
