Just lately my screen has been distorting random colors, I can't quite pinpoint the problem, I reformatted and that took care of it for a few hours, but now the problem is recurring, Im thinking it may be software related, but I cant figure out what software it would be, I have attached a screenshot, which is wierd that it even captured the error, meaning I guess it cant be the LCD, any help is appreciated!

Hm... it's showing up in a software screen-capture, so it has to be software [not a chaffed wire]. As odd as this seems, try reseating the memory. Newer GFX cards use shared memory, and a dirty contact can weak havoc. Barrig that, get a new driver! Crappy drivers could cause this too. Also, to much heat causes GFX distorsion, so a can of EndDust compressed air-like-substance into the fan ports to kick out dust might be a good idea. Do not look directly into the ports when doing this Laptops get crazy dusty after a while.

Hell, even my laptop needed me to dust it and do registry hacks to stop BSOD's. [Might be due to memory recall too, who knows]

I even blew out the ports with compressed air, and it is still doing it, I think the video card must have gone bad, any ideas on price to get it fixed...I also tried plugging it into an external monitor, and it showed up there....
