Laptop screen repair

I have a Dell Latitude 600c and it has some dead pixels and such. Where can I look into getting the screen repaired or replaced? I called Dell, but they need some special Dell number, which I can't find on my laptop since I bought it used.

There is a company called Triage that is worldwide, i worked work experience from college with them in Manchester, England. They do warranty repairs for a lot of BIG companies, Dell, Compaq, IBM etc, all they do is replace the whole LCD film, but if not covered by warranty, prepare that bank balance for a BIG sink. The site isTriage - Europe um, looks like Europe, but i reckon they send to which ever company is closest to them or you.
Good Luck!

try looking system properties on the general page there should be a support info button which should tell you your laptop's Asset Tag & Express Service Code!
