Laptop screen problem!

I just purchase a laptop from Dell, and the resolution for my screen should be 1920 by 1200. The picture on the screen look very good but when I access into website, it seem very blurry with those small pictures. Anyone have an idea what going on here? I though with higher resolution, my picture should look good because it should give me more detail. Anyway, if anyone know about this, let me know please. Thank!!!
 
Wanna be more specific? Does text look good still? Pictures can be a low resolution and might not look very good, if they are highly compressed.
