Laptop screen issues

hey guys,

so i have an IBM T42 w/ a 15'' SVGA or w/e and its great but there is like a dirty on the screen or something that is not a burnt out pixel but brown spots spread around the screen. they have been there for a long time and screen cleaner does not get them off. any clue to wat this is and how to fix it? thanks!

um a dirty? Can you post a pick? I"m having a hard time visuallizing this one. My T40P screen has an ever so small scratch on it about the size of a single pixel that throws me off every now and again.
