I have an older laptop... It was made in 2001. It is a Compaq Armada e500. Now I know a lot about computers, so I am thinking this is a video card problem. Sometimes, my screen will just go randomly green in black areas of the screen, such as where there is text. This tends to happen when the laptop starts to heat up a little, and after about 20+ minutes of use. I wanted to see what you guys thought it was, and if I could find a solution to fix it. I just purchased this laptop here on the forums, and it has been working great ever since I got it. This green screen problem has just started about a week or so ago. It doesn't seem to be a driver problem, as when I reboot it, the Bios screen is all green, with the red words "Compaq" (looks like Christmas time :p). The built in video is a ATI Rage mobility, 8MB, if that helps any.

Hmm. I'll have to test that out. I haven't bought any new memory, but the stuff that is in there is over 4 years old. I am going to upgrade to 512MB soon, so maybe that will help.
