Laptop screen decision-- matte or gloss with 95% gamut

I'm configuring a gaming laptop which has 2 possible screens.
(Sager 8150 model)

Each display is 95% gamut; and while generally I'd think this is a great upgrade I'm left wondering if the glossy option would be too saturated

Let me preface that in general I do like the more vibrant appearance of glossy screens. However, it is my understanding that this vibrancy is largely due to artificial color saturation from the glass.

Every review that Ive read on other laptops using the matte 95% gamut screen (identical to the one I'm considering) mentioned that colors are slightly over-saturated. This would lead me to believe that glossy would be overkill and matte should look as good or better than typical glossy screens when it comes to image quality.

Is my reasoning sound?

Glossy is what I always prefer because matte just looks rough to me--especially if it's an IPS panel, then definitely go with glossy, because matte IPS panels often look grainy.

Things are supposed to have high color gamut, as a higher gamut means it can show more of the color space. Therefore, the more saturated look is natural.

nah, this isn't IPS, it's the best TN display manufactured for notebooks today.

Matte. Always. Saturated, schmaturated, you might want to do something that involves not gaming some day, and then some semblance of color accuracy might actually be important.

"You know, I was watching an *ahem* movie and I was left kind of... umm... down. Chick was fucking orange. What the hell?
Like I said. Color accuracy can be important.

Matte, unless you are always seated in a dark room. Glossy screens are like mirrors, wish my Droid did not have one.

Don't ever buy glossy screens.

Unless you care to look at yourself or creep what is behind you, more than what is actually on the screen.

Glossy screens can look nice in dark areas, but any place with any significant light source is going to cause a lot of glare

Two things I'll definitely have on my next laptop: a matte display and a backlit keyboard.

I can't stand glossy screens because of the glare. I would not recommend them to anyone outside a dimly lit room.

My room is always dimly lit, so it's away from any light. I don't necessarily like more accurate color, but rather more vibrant/saturated color (as long as color isn't so inaccurate that skin tones are the color of an orange or anything like that). Not only are glossy screens more vibrant, matte IPS always have a grainy look to them (at least the ones I've seen).

Of course, I only use my PC for gaming and websurfing, so that may be why I prefer glossy so much.
