So I have this 2012 VAIO laptop that uses integrated Intel video and a GTX 240M video card (optimus tech.)
The problem is that sometimes, especially after a restart for updates or whatnot, if I flip the lid open and click a button to bring the laptop back from sleep, everything will turn on (keyboard illuminates, HDD starts spinning, etc.) but the screen remains absolutely dark no matter what I press or do.
At first, I had to disconnect the power cord and remove the battery so I could restart it. That always works. Then after I got tired of doing that, I plugged in my desktop monitor, which allowed me to restart the laptop. After the restart, the laptop screen always works again.
Anyone got any suggestions or ideas? Thanks.
