Laptop screen/bezel problems

I have a dell inspiron E1505 which has worked fine for me. Of course it is no longer under warranty so now I'm having a slight issue. When I close the screen, the rear bezel/cover on the right hand side has a "click" feeling. When I look at it after closing it, the front and rear portions have a gap between them and it looks like the plastic is bending upwards. The hinge itself seems okay, but I'm worried the case may crack.

Has anyone experienced this? I tried searching the Dell Forums and the service manual, but didn't find this exact symptom. Any help would be appreciated. I tried just pushing it together hoping it'd snap into place, but that didn't work.

Thanks

i have, it's probably the plastic strip that goes across above the keyboards popped loose, you should be able to snap it back into place.
dell has a excellent manual you can download that shows you how to disassemble the laptop.
