laptop screen adapter cabel?

So I had an older laptop that was broken to hell and unusable, but the LCD screen was good, its a 15inch lcd from a "noname" laptop, although I would say its probably very similar to a dell laptop that was being made the same year I bought it (roughly 2001?). I took the screen off and disconnected the cable.. is there any way I could connect this to video stuff? Either a SVGA adapter cable, or something else. Id love to put this into my old Van that I travel around in and make use of it.
