Hi guys,

Thinking of selling one of my old latops I got here. However, I don't really know how much to ask for. I was thinking around the area of 700 (750?) for the following specs:

Dell Inspiron 8000
Pentium III 600 (PC0 Stepping)
2x59wHr batteries (~5:30 battery life)
15 inch SXGA+ (1400x1050)
10GB IBM Travelstar HDD
256MB CL2 RAM (Crucial/Infineon)
ATi Mobility M4 32M AGP4x (Rage128 Pro equiv)
1.44MB Floppy Module
8x Toshiba DVD (Region Free)
Integrated 3Com 10/100 NIC + 56K modem
Cisco Aironet 340 802.11b WiFi PCMCIA NIC (128WEP supported/Dell Truemobile 1100 label)
Windows 2000 Pro/Office 2000 Pro/PowerDVD 4
~8 months warranty left

Tried checking eBay but there is erm.. well lets say just too much varation out there on laptop specs. Kinda hard to judge a price. :frown:

I think closer to $500-$600 mainly because of the CPU, but I'm not sure how much that Cisco Aironet is worth.

i think if u upgraded the memory to 512 (or whatever the max is since mem is so cheap) youd most definately get 700-750 for it.
With the 15" screen and two batteries thats a definate + you got going there...so I'd say your price is definately close to what it should go for.

Based on what I've seen locally, that is a reasonable price for that laptop, especially because it has all those additional features (more memory, wireless, etc.)

I think you can get around 700. Just a few months ago, I sold a Dell Inspiron 7000 (weighs like 9 lbs it seems) PII 233 with 512mb ram for 600 bucks on Ebay.
