Hi, I'm looking to purchase a laptop with about $1500 USD to spend. I would like to be able to play Half-Life 2 on it, so a decent graphics card should be included. Do you guys have any recommendations that dont go above $1500? Thanks.

Gateway 72XX or used eMachines M6805. IIRC, the latest Gateway models have 15.4", A64 3200 or 3400, 60-80GB, 1GB RAM??, DVDRW??, Radeon 9550 (underclocked 9600). Best gaming laptop for the money. Maybe look at customizable PCs like Sager, Fujitsu, Dell & try to get a Radeon 9700. Also, for the best gaming performance I would put MORE money into a fast HDD after you get the ideal video card. Don't waste the extra money getting a slightly faster CPU, put it into a 7200RPM HDD. GL
BTW, you can see the Gateways @ Best Buy

if you take a look in maximum pc magazines in the back they have pages with these custom builders. for 2000 you can get all that but a geforce 6800 go video card. they are designed as gaming laptops

thanks for the recommendations guys, after looking at all of the laptops, i ended up getting an inspiron 9200, with a nice huge 17 inch widescreen. it had an automatic $350 off, free additonal ram, and free shipping, so i got it a pretty good deal at $1300 + $80 shipping :) i read a lot of reviews and even though its a dell, it was rated pretty good. i did get a nice readeon 9700 too :) gonna play hl2 :)
