Laptop RAM

All right. I'm currently running a Dell 8600.

Looking into upgrade my RAM - it takes PC2700 as standard.

I can get my hands on some PC3200 SODIMMs - are they backwards compatible with the PC2700? Or what's up there?

It would depend on the stick, but I'm pretty sure most, if not all are backwards compatible.
