OK i'm going to visit england for some buisness. I realise to plug my laptop in i'll need a power converter. However will my moded work over there? I have and isp i can use for dial up etc.. however will the modem cable i have actually plug into thephone do i need and adapter? where can i get one? Any one had the same experience?Help!!

I have traveled all over Europe with three different lappies, and never needed a power converter- Just adapter plugs. Those come in kits at any travel store. The lappy power brick is usually good for anything from 100 to 240 volts, 50 or 60 cycle. Just put the right plug adapter on it and you are good to go. In most places, the standard telephone cable with T-Connector will work - however, check carefully. Each country has different phone systems. Anything in U.K. is fine. Most hotels can take care of you on the continent - but it's a good idea to have a digital PBX checker in your bag.
