Laptop question: I get power no vid except on crt

Problem:

I turn it on and the LCD brightens but nothing comes on to it (Also, it looks like the bottom left side looks darker). After a minute or so I hear 2 beeps. Thats all I know. The gpu is soldered on to the MB, doesnt have a daughter board. I hear the fans and HD power on and the battery gets charged. Ask me any other questions if I didn't give you enough info. I got it to work with a external monitor. I tried it with two different lcds and it did the same for both.

Probably the LCD invertor board.

But have you tried hitting the Fn+F3 (or whatever combination) to "switch monitor output"?
