last july i bought a hp/compaq nc4000 and have had problems with it, long story short, it would have cost ^40 to fix it (thread)

i got AMEX to foot the bill and now i dont know what i want to do, they covered the repair, but should i fix it or put the money towards a nwe laptop. amex says they dont care what i do.

the original cost of the laptop was 1200.
