I have a 15" UXGA screen and its worth every penny if you like high resolutions. Everything looks huge on my 19" desktop screen runnig 1600x1200 now (I wish its resolution could go higher).

SXGA is 1400x1050 if you are talking about Dell.

Personally i chose the SXGA cause i thought the 1600x1400 would be too small on a 15" screen. But other people say it's not? I think its just personal perference.

Hmm.. sorry, I read SVGA instead of SXGA.

But, having just bought a UXGA notebook, I'd say it's great. Fits so much on the screen. If things are too small, set the DPI to say 120, and windows will scale everything up appropriately I personally don't find text too small on the 15" screen, since it's razor sharp.

It seems SXGA has some differences in definition by manufacturer.
