This is an old laptop for about a couple years. It has been work fine for a while but the last couple weeks it started restart after an hour or so of running. I think the heat may have something to do with it. The temperature for cpu is 46 C on idle and hard drive is 45 C. Is that too high for laptop ? what can i do to cool it down beside take it apart. I did use the compress aire to clean out the fans but it doesnt seem to help.

I think you are on the right track, but 46 C is not a problem temp for a laptop.

Sometimes dirty RAM modules can cause heat to build up and cause a reboot.

To eliminate that, remove your SODIMMs, wipe them off good and clean and then reseat them.

Also, try elevating the rear of your laptop to get better air circulation under it.
