have a laptop that wont even power on...
not sure where to begin, is it even possible to swap out a PS in a laptop?

Sorry for the dumb question, but is it plugged into the AC power? Maybe the battery is simply depleted or tired out. Also, try holding the power button for a few seconds instead of just a quick push.
