Laptop Power Concerns

I'm studying abroad in France in January, and I'm concerned about frying my laptop.

Is this all I need? I'm concerned because it says that it works "without a complicated power conversion," and as far as I know, power has to be converted in order for it to work in US electronic devices.

Can anyone shed some light upon this situation?
