Hi All,
Thanks for reading this thread. I am facing an issue with the compatible of power cord to my power brick. I got an USA Laptop, but I wanna use this laptop in UK for quite long. I have two options given. Either a "Global to UK" adapter or change my US power cord to UK power cord. Can anyone tell me the below examples will work safely?
1) UK Wall Socket > "Global to UK" plug (MAX 13A 250V~) > US Cord (7A 125V) > Power Brick (Input: 100-240V 2.0A, Output: 19V---6.32A) > Laptop
2) UK Wall Socket > UK Cord (5A 240V) > Power Brick (Input: 100-240V 2.0A, Output: 19V---6.32A) > Laptop
Besides, those sellers told me when I am going to buy a UK Cord (from power brick to wall socket), I should refer to the "Input: 100-240V 2.0A", as long as my power cord is between 100-240V and Amp should be same or higher than 2.0A then the power cord is safe to be used, is this true?
Your help would be much appreciated! Thanks
