Go dig up some utilities ( I will post one tomorrow) that allow you to see what is utilizing your system. From there, you may be able to identify the culprit(s).

Horrible "guide" I skimmed through most of it and 90% of it is crap.

"The purpose of UAC is to make you confirm a large number of everyday functions in order to somehow protect your system from malware infections."

That sentence right there discredits anything that guide might have to offer.

it helped my laptop run smooth and faster. It does not make cpu throttled high!

yeah high CPU usage in idle state screams malware, regardless of that you have protection.

You could start by disabiling indexing.

Vista is bloatware. There isn't too much you can do about it. XP is a better laptop os IMO.

Also, install spy sweeper and avast.

Click 'start' then in the search box type 'msconfig' (no quotes), then disable everything in the startup tab (don't touch the services).

Good luck!

its not vista.. ur spec is enough so that blaming bloat is silly

what processes are using 100% cpu
