laptop palm rests

I remember reading about sites where you could by plastic cover looking things for the palm rests of your laptop so that the palm rests don't wear out and fade. I noticed the palm rests on my T42 that I've been using heavily for about 2months starting to fade and I don't wanna have to change out the palm rest later. Does anyone have an idea of what I'm talking about and where I could get one? I remember there being a site selling palm rests for powerbooks but I don't remember what it was.
 
One solution might be a full skin of this nature. Apparently, the adhesive leaves no residue, yet the material does not shift nor peel off.
