laptop or tablet that runs Ubuntu

I'm looking to get a portable laptop, tablet or convertible that will run Ubuntu without issues. A lot of the tablets and compact notebooks have those bay trail atom processors that don't work well with linux so I'm looking to get something with the new Core M or anything that will work with linux.

I'm looking for either a 12-14" laptop or a 7-10" tablet or a convirtible, any ideas?

I have an Asus Vivtab 8 (with a Z3545 CPU), while it's capable of running a 64bit OS, the BIOS won't let you install one so you're stuck with installing a 32bit OS however I read there's a workaround possible for installing 64bit Linux with a special boot.

Maybe just buy one with Linux preloaded?

Otherwise, I'd just a ~1 year old last-gen refurb - Linux drivers lagging behind Windows for the latest hardware - particularly Intel IGPs - is old news, but by now it'll work fine. And you'll save money.
