Laptop or LCD

I don't know what I want, and I probably don't need a laptop.

Should I just get a decent LCD and a cheapy laptop and save my money or should I spring for a high end laptop?

Honestly, I don't game that much so it might not be a problem. But I was still looking to get the 128MB card instead of the 64MB one, but I don't know if it's worth $50.

If you plan on playing HL2 or D3 on an X300, the extra memory will help with fluidity (at like 640x480 or 800x600 that is). Otherwise, most other games won't need the extra mem.

If you're planning on taking the laptop anywhere, ditch the 9300; its huge

I can also get the 6000 fully loaded for $1500 with DVDRW, 128MB PCI-E X300 etc. But I thought they were phasing this one out.

The 6000 should be good for a while, it does use the latest Centrino platform so it should be "current" till Fall/Christmas.

If you want to game, cheap laptop and good desktop.
If you want true mobile computing power, expensive laptop.

The 6000 isn't THAT much smaller than the 9300 actually, I remember seeing someone post comparison pictures btw. the 700m, 9300 and 6000.
