Laptop now or later?

I'm going to college this next fall semester and plan on buying a laptop. I think I'm going to get the new Compaq Presario 2800T Series that Anandtech just reviewed. I configured one on their website, and it came out to be $1909 with tons of kick ass features. Now, school doesn't start until the end of August, so should I wait until August to buy a laptop or should I get this one right now? Like, will the price go up or down by then?

Yeah, it should drop by the time August rolls around.

Actually the price of laptops is going up. However, the specific one you want now will likely be cheaper because newer and more powerful machines will likely be out in August.

I would wait, that's what I think I'm going to do. Waiting for the new Dell Inspiron 4200 to replace the 4100.
