Laptop not booting into BIOS

So i've got a lenovo g500 laptop, what happens is that when I turn it on the CPU fan turns on, power symbol comes on and the CD drive makes it usual sound but then it just turns off? If I have to buy a new CPU i wouldn't mind too much because there only arround £15 from ebay.

Unlikely that it's just the CPU. CPUs generally don't wear out, nor burn out, unless you've damaged the cooling mechanisms of the laptop.
