Hi guys,

Looking for a good laptop to buy that will handle light gaming. My girlfriend wants to play games like Aion, Diablo 3 with decent settings and decent FPS. Budget is $1,200 tops.

I am located in Canada. Any recommendations on brands?

Thanks

$1200 for "light" gaming? A $1200 gaming laptop can handle most games today with moderately high settings, an MSI GP60 for $1000 should do the trick, Memory Experss has them.

For actual light gaming, an A10 7300 or 5750M for $600 will be enough.

Oh okay. Hmm.. I don't know, the budget is around $1,200.

What about Lenovos? The Y50 series with GTX 860M and i7-4710HQ?

Wouldn't this be better for $600?

I ask Y50 because I can get one for less than $1,000 right now.

And yea, I have some cash which I cannot possibly think of any other way of wasting. I would rather spend a bit more and have performance flexibility. I don't intend on changing laptop that frequently.

(Thanks for all replies)
