Laptop missing hibernate option, and no battery time estimate.

I fixed some issues on my brother's laptop, but I can't seem to get the hibernate option to show. It is an HP Pavilion DV series.

Hibernate is checked under power options. I unchecked it, restarted, rechecked, restarted, still no option 🙁.

Also, when I check the battery, it gives a percentage, but no time estimate. My Toshiba did this by default (as do all other laptops that I use).

It runs WinXP Pro, fully legit, etc, came preloaded.

Additionally, Windows Update fails when trying to install KB898461. I restart and same problem - Failed Update.
