Laptop memory upgrade options?

Ok I have an IBM Thinkpad 600E, type 2645 8BU laptop and I want to upgrade the memory in it.

Currently it has 128 MB of RAM and I am looking to go to ~ 256 MB. Now here is the problem according to Crucial when I enter this in the upgrade section it says that the 32 MB stick is non removeable. So what can I do to get this to 256 or so? Crucial also says the max memory capacity on the laptop is 288, which would be the 32 + a 256 stick.

But I can't find a SDRAM 66mhz 256 stick, but I did find a 256 MB Kingston PC133 SDRAM stick on newegg...if I put that in the laptop will it clock itself down and work properly?

This isn't much help but if your motherboard is based on an Intel LX chipset you can't use PC100 or PC133. Try eBay, you may luck into a 256MB stick of PC66.
