Laptop Memory Performance

My Inspirion 600m should be arriving today as should a 512MB of DDR-333 bought seperately. I am trying to decide if I should run the 768MB at 266 MHz or take out the 256MB stick from dell and run the 512 at 333. I don't particularly need the extra memory at this time, but I am sure it will come in handy in the future. Anyone know how much the memory bandwidth effects Pentium-M performance. My laptop should contain a dothan (with 2MB L2) so maybe this reduces the impact of main memory speed?

If anyone has any benchmarks (of system performance, not just memory performence, the outcome of that would be obvious) or a reference to an article. I would appreciate it.
