I have two identical laptop memory modules, but no idea of their specifications or compatibility.

I've looked on the web using Google....closest info I found was that these are 256mb or 512mb modules, but based on their specs they should have worked in any number of laptops at my disposal.

They have 4 chips per side, 8 chips total, and are covered by a black heatsink that is glued on. On the modules are 3 stickers, one of which says "Compaq" and a number. I've contacted Compaq, but they have no records with the number. Anyhow, so here I am......hopefully someone might be able to help.

Thanks for the info.

I've tried it in about 7 different model laptops.

Thinkpad 570, 560z, 600x, 600e, a20

Toshiba - pentium 100, pentium3 700

If the memory is 128mb pc66, it should have worked in the 560z or 570.

I'll have to look into it again on Monday at the office.

Thanks!
