Laptop member of domain - how to print to workgroup printer?

My wife's company laptop uses a domain login but I'd like to be able for her to print to my shared desktop printer at home to keep from having a local printer attached to the laptop. Since she's using a wireless connection, having a shared printer just makes sense. :)

It's not possible for her to browse the network. I'm not a network guru by any means, but is there any way I can get this to work without changing any settings that would prevent her from logging in or screwing anything up?

She should be able to do a non-domain log in on the laptop when she has it at home. At the log on screen use the pull down menu to change from using the domain name to using the laptop's computer name. I think you can then change the workgroup name it uses to match your home workgroup's name. Just make sure you don't change the network settings to put the computer in a workgroup instead of a domain.

No...I don't think this will work. Once you are a member of a domain, you can't change that setting back to be a member of a workgroup without breaking domain membership.

All you need to do to make this possible is share the printer on your PC. Have her add the printer and when her laptop tries to attach the printer it should prompt for a username. As long as she has an account setup on the PC with the shared printer, she should enter that in the prompt and it should work.

share the printer with full permissions for all (you have a router, right?) and then she can install it by going \\server\printershare and then she prints to it.

Oops, I didn't figure it would be this simple. When I tried to do it previously, she couldn't see the printer (or my desktop) over the network, so I assume it was the domain/workgroup issue causing the problem.
