Laptop LCD Artifacting

Hello guys!

I need some help with an Asus S96J laptop.

Has anyone ever seen artifacting like this on an LCD?

*Hint, the flash ad above is black, not red.

Here's another one:

This laptop seems to have developed some sort of really bad LCD artifacting. It's not related to video card or heat (since it doesn't get worse when gaming and the VGA output is fine).

Notice how when the laptop lid is moved the artifacting goes away.

Any idea what this could be?

Thanks!

If the problem goes away when you move the screen, then it is probably caused by a bad connection or a broken wire in the cable between the laptop and the screen.
