Laptop keyboard problems!??!?!?!?

So, I was at the coffee place doing some homework and a buddy of mine spilled espresso on the numpad of my HP zd8000. Now, it almost seems like the keyboard has been remapped. When I press "5", it types "52". When I press backspace, it types "\". When I press "f", it types "ft", and when I type "t", it types "ft". Its pretty messed up.

Anyone have any suggestions on fixing this? Should I just replace the keyboard or what???

TIA.

buy some CRC

its electrical contact cleaner. its a solvent in a can that might clean out whatever is left under the keypad. you can get it at lowes or some such for a few bucks

remove the keyboard, spray the bejesus hell out from under the keys and hope it cleans it, give it a couple of minutes to dry, and see if it works.

if not, then buy a new keyboard.
