i didn't set any password protection on my main server with intenet connection, (i set ics on it). my laptop, i reformat it set to original default and when i do the connection wizard, everything works fine i can see the main server but when i double click, it's asking me for password, why? i didn't put any thinng for that. i'm running xp pro on the server and xp home on the laptop.

btw. the laptop see the internet connection icon being enable but i cannot use it on my browser

oh and i have a wireless router switch between the server and the hub, and the hub to the laptop

it looks like you have setup a secure wireless network that requires a person to login to it to be able to access it (i.e so someone driving by can't bum off your pipe)

check the wireless router's setting.

yeah but i disable any wep,i press the cancel all the time but still no affect

there are 3 icon on my network, lan, wireless and the network bridged
