I have a Toshiba 2435-S255. And when I plug my charger in it shows it?s plugged in and it says Power Source: AC power but it is not charging. This used to happen when it got below 10% .Now it is doing it whenever it feels like it. And then I have to turn off my computer unplug the power and then plug it back in then the orange light in the front of the laptop goes on then I turned it on. Then it starts its charging but then some times in 10min -30min it will stop charging and do it again. I will get a screen shot of Everest saying what I am talking about. Or even a video.

Most people don't realize its just like many other batteries you need to let it fully charge and discharge sometimes

the battery is almsot 3 years old

I bough it from best buy in feb of 03 with 3 year warrenty so its goign to run out and i want every thing fixed so I need to find out what causing the problem.

oww so its a dead battery?
how comes this never happens on a 5year + laptop but min in less then 3 years and if i take out the battery when it says its on ac source but not charging the battery when i take the batt out the laptop turns off instantly.

Thre's only one fool proof way to find out if its the battery of the charging circuit of the laptop. And that is to try another battery that you know is still holding good charge! Or have your battery charged on a different laptop of the same model.

Ok, I have warrent I want everything fixed geek squad is going to do it so I want every part fixed laptop is gettign new stuff except the cpu mobo had drive, ram, lcd the rest is being replaced

we dont make battery here.. we dont have the science of answering this question, we can only direct you to what info we see online

but if you think a battery can last forever.. talk to apple.. they got millions of ipod that fail after 1 year. They can even hit your 3 year mark

heres apple's battery replacement policy
