Laptop HDD to Desktop through USB or ?

How would I go about doing this? I got a laptop HDD that has everything already installed and I wanna hook it up to my little brothers desktop because the HDD in his just blew out on me. How would I go about doing this? I am gonna search internet but this might be faster.

The best way would be to get a 2.5" to 3.5" converter kit. I got one on Ebay for $4 a while back. Then you can use it just like a normal desktop hard drive (IDE).
